Al-Isra’ & Al-Mi^raj
A miracle of Prophet Muhammad — The 27th night of Rajab
The Miracle
We know, without a doubt, that the miracle of al-Isra’ and Mi^raj occurred because it is mentioned in al-Qur’an, and it was reported in the hadith of the Prophet.
Al-Isra’ is when Prophet Muhammad journeyed, body and soul, from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah to Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. This happened in one part of the night.
Al-Mi^raj is when Prophet Muhammad ascended through the seven heavens. Allah enabled our Prophet to see some of His wondrous creations.
What Students Learn
Our students learn about this great miracle in their classes, including:
- Al-Buraq — the heavenly creature that carried the Prophet
- Sidratul-Muntaha — the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary
- Angel Jibril — who accompanied the Prophet on this journey
- Other extraordinary details of this blessed night
